Sabrina Morris, the teacher identified by local news outlet WSET as working within the Danville Public School system, ignited immediate concern within the school community. The post quickly drew attention for its aggressive tone and implied threat, raising questions about appropriate conduct for an educator.
School officials responded swiftly, confirming that local police were notified and that Morris has been removed from school grounds pending a thorough investigation. A district spokesperson emphasized the seriousness with which the matter is being treated, stating the content shared is “not reflective of the values or expectations of professionalism” within the division.
The school district moved to distance itself from the incident, removing information about Morris from its public-facing resources. Simultaneously, the teacher’s Instagram account was switched to private, limiting public access to their online activity.
The origin of the image appears to trace back to an account called Dream for America, which describes itself as a platform for inspiring young Americans to defend democracy. This group claimed the post was intended as satire and not an endorsement of violence.
