De Niro & Schneider EXPLODE: Trump Feud REVEALED as Chaos Hits Berkeley!

De Niro & Schneider EXPLODE: Trump Feud REVEALED as Chaos Hits Berkeley!

Rob Schneider, addressing a large audience, shared a surprising encounter with Robert De Niro that fundamentally shifted his approach to criticism. The exchange occurred years ago, during the celebration of Saturday Night Live’s 40th anniversary, a moment Schneider hadn’t anticipated.

De Niro, turning directly to Schneider, launched into a passionate rebuke. “Schneider! How could you support that schmuck? Trump is a schmuck! He’s turning the whole country into schmucks. Schneider, I thought you were smarter than that!” The intensity of the accusation left Schneider momentarily stunned.

His initial reaction wasn’t defensiveness, but disbelief that the legendary actor even knew his name. Instead of engaging in argument, Schneider responded with unexpected warmth. “I looked right at him and said, ‘I love you. I love you. No, I really love you,’” he recounted to the captivated crowd.

De Niro, visibly taken aback, simply replied, “OK, OK.” Schneider, who has become a vocal conservative and recently converted to Catholicism, believes this experience revealed a powerful truth about navigating conflict.

He explained that kindness and grace are far more effective than anger in disarming critics. “That’s the only way to handle this,” Schneider asserted. “We’re never going to be able to out-cancel the cancel culture. They’re better at it than us.”

The event at UC Berkeley was itself the site of significant unrest. Outside Zellerbach Hall, clashes erupted between protesters, attendees, and law enforcement, resulting in multiple arrests and a violent scuffle.

Videos circulating online showed a disturbing scene of physical confrontation before police intervened to restore order. Federal authorities have since launched investigations into the protests and the resulting violence.

Assistant Attorney General Harmeet Dhillon condemned the “intimidation” of event attendees as “unacceptable,” while Attorney General Pam Bondi confirmed a “full investigation” was underway. The situation underscored the charged atmosphere surrounding the event.

The Turning Point USA Tour, now honoring the memory of its founder Charlie Kirk who tragically died in September, continued despite the turmoil. Schneider and author Frank Turek were scheduled speakers.

Even amidst the protests and violence, Schneider maintained a message of compassion. He expressed affection for the demonstrators, stating, “The people outside — you gotta love them. And I love them. I wish them the best. I hope they come around.”
