The artwork’s sudden appearance coincided with unsettling reports surrounding Prince Andrew. Newly surfaced emails allegedly reveal his desperate plea to Ghislaine Maxwell – “I can’t take any more of this” – following scrutiny over allegations involving Virginia Giuffre. The timing felt undeniably pointed, adding another layer of intrigue to the mysterious piece.
Art experts were quick to weigh in, meticulously comparing the new work to Banksy’s established style. Madeleine White, from a leading London gallery, noted the piece’s clear echoes of Banksy’s signature satire and pointed political commentary. She suggested the artwork could be a direct critique of the monarchy, specifically referencing the former prince.
