CHRISTMAS NIGHTMARE: Shooting SHATTERS Tree Lighting – Teens Charged! [VIDEO]

A cherished community tradition shattered on Friday night in Concord, North Carolina, as gunfire erupted during the annual tree lighting ceremony. What should have been a night of joy and togetherness was instantly transformed into a scene of chaos and fear, leaving four people injured.

The shooting began around 7:30 PM, sending attendees scrambling for safety amidst the festive lights and music. First responders – police, fire crews, and EMS personnel – already present at the event immediately sprang into action, providing critical medical attention and evacuating the panicked crowd.

The initial reports painted a grim picture: three victims were rushed to the hospital in critical condition, while a fourth was listed as stable. Witnesses described a terrifying scene, a stark contrast to the peaceful atmosphere they had expected. One long-time resident expressed disbelief, stating they had never anticipated such violence in their city.

List of suspects in Concord shooting, including 18-year-old Nasir Bostic, a second juvenile suspect, and 17-year-old Keyvyonn Bostic facing accessory charges.

Investigators quickly determined this wasn’t a random attack on the public. The shooting stemmed from a conflict between two individuals who knew each other, a revelation that offered little comfort to a community reeling from the shock.

Police have identified 18-year-old Nasir Ahmad Bostic as one of the shooters, and he is currently hospitalized in critical condition with a gunshot wound. A warrant has been issued for his arrest, charging him with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill and inciting a riot.

A second suspect, a juvenile whose name is being withheld, also faces similar charges and was among those injured. Additionally, 17-year-old Keyvyonn Rayshaund Bostic was arrested and charged as an adult with accessory after the fact and inciting a riot.

The city’s police chief described the event as “senseless violence” that interrupted a night of celebration. He also praised the remarkable resilience of the community, highlighting how businesses, citizens, and first responders worked together to evacuate the area and assist those in need.

Despite the trauma, a sense of unity emerged from the aftermath. The swift response and collaborative efforts undoubtedly prevented further injuries and helped authorities quickly identify the individuals involved, offering a small measure of solace to a community grappling with a deeply unsettling night.
