BIDEN'S VACCINE PURGE: Dems SILENTLY Approve, EXPLODE Over Trump!

BIDEN'S VACCINE PURGE: Dems SILENTLY Approve, EXPLODE Over Trump!

A recently released video featuring Democratic lawmakers advising servicemembers on refusing unlawful orders ignited a fierce backlash from Republican veterans.

The video, starring Senators Mark Kelly and Elissa Slotkin, alongside Representatives Chrissy Houlahan, Chris Deluzio, Jason Crow, and Maggie Goodlander, aimed to inform military personnel of their right to question and potentially refuse orders, particularly those potentially originating from former President Donald Trump.

Jennifer-Ruth Green, an Iraq War veteran and Republican candidate, swiftly condemned the message as deeply hypocritical. She pointed to the discharge of approximately 8,700 servicemembers under the Biden administration for declining the COVID-19 vaccine mandate, a decision Democrats largely supported at the time.

Green specifically challenged Senator Kelly, highlighting the contrast between his current advice and the previous enforcement of the vaccine mandate. She accused the lawmakers of playing political games with the lives and careers of those serving in the military.

The debate centered on the definition of an “illegal order,” with Republicans arguing that disagreement with a presidential directive doesn’t automatically render it unlawful. They emphasized the importance of respecting the chain of command and the oath taken by servicemembers.

Democrats defended their position, asserting that the video was intended to reaffirm a fundamental right – the ability to question orders that violate the Constitution or established law. They cited the availability of resources like the Judge Advocate General (JAG) corps for legal guidance.

The controversy extended to reactions following former President Trump’s recent warnings, which some Democrats characterized as inciting threats against them. Representative Byron Donalds labeled the Democrats’ initial video as “seditious behavior” and an unnecessary provocation.

The exchange escalated with direct responses between Senator Kelly and Trump advisor Stephen Miller, with Kelly referencing his combat experience and presence during the January 6th Capitol riot to underscore his understanding of defending the Constitution versus insurrection.

Representative Jason Crow noted the alarming implication that simply restating the law could be considered punishable by death, according to Trump’s perspective. The Pentagon has announced an investigation into allegations of serious misconduct against Senator Kelly related to this situation.

The core of the dispute lies in a stark difference in interpretation regarding the balance between obedience to authority and the right to refuse participation in potentially unlawful actions, a dilemma faced by servicemembers throughout history.
