This device offers a more compact 8.2-inch screen and, thanks to current promotions, is available for $399, a $100 reduction from its usual price.
What truly sets the AiNote Air 2 apart is its integrated ChatGPT access. Unlike competitors requiring subscriptions for AI features, this notebook provides translation and speech-to-text capabilities directly out of the box. It’s a feature that positions it closer to the Viwoods’ AiPaper, a device praised by reviewers but also notable for its larger size and higher cost.
While Lifehacker hasn’t yet tested the AiNote Air 2 firsthand, its specifications reveal further advantages. A built-in 5MP camera opens possibilities for interacting with ChatGPT, and a speaker eliminates the need for headphones when enjoying audiobooks. A stylus is also included, completing the core digital note-taking experience.
Of course, compromises exist. The AiNote Air 2 offers 32GB of storage, less than the AiPaper’s capacity, and its 2,600mAh battery is smaller. The screen resolution is slightly lower at 293PPI compared to 300PPI, though this difference may be subtle on the smaller display. These trade-offs contribute to a more accessible price point and a more portable design.
Early feedback has been overwhelmingly positive. One Reddit user described the writing experience as “the closest experience to writing on a nice pad of paper with a smooth rolling pen I've ever experienced.” This suggests the AiNote Air 2 delivers a remarkably natural and intuitive feel for digital note-taking.
The current wave of sales, often referred to as “Black Friday” and “Cyber Week,” officially begins around Thanksgiving and extends through early December.
