PARANAQUE MEGA-RESORT UNLEASHED: Mövenpick Hotel Will SHATTER Expectations!

PARANAQUE MEGA-RESORT UNLEASHED: Mövenpick Hotel Will SHATTER Expectations!

A transformation is underway in Parañaque City, poised to redefine the hospitality landscape. The Grand Westside Hotel is embarking on a remarkable journey to become the world’s largest Mövenpick property, a beacon of luxury and innovation on Manila Bay.

This ambitious project, a collaboration between Megaworld Corp. and the renowned French hotel operator Accor SA, will culminate in the grand opening of Mövenpick Manila Bay Westside by late 2026. The 19-story, twin-tower structure resides within the vibrant 31-hectare Westside City township, promising an immersive experience for travelers.

The rebranding isn’t merely cosmetic; it’s a comprehensive overhaul encompassing brand alignment, seamless system integration, and significant operational enhancements. This meticulous process will elevate the hotel to meet the exacting standards of the Mövenpick brand, while preserving the unique charm of Filipino hospitality.

Accor’s vision extends beyond a single property, reflecting a strategic expansion throughout Southeast Asia. The recent conversion of Belmont Hotel Mactan into a Mercure property signals a determined effort to solidify its presence in the region’s dynamic hospitality market.

Guests arriving at Mövenpick Manila Bay Westside will discover a haven of indulgence. Four distinct dining venues will tantalize the palate, while a stunning pool deck offers breathtaking views of Manila Bay. A dedicated sky bridge will seamlessly connect the hotel to the Westside City Integrated Casino and Entertainment Complex and the Grand Opera House.

Accor’s global portfolio, boasting approximately 45 brands including Fairmont, Raffles, and Pullman, provides a robust foundation for this expansion. The company is keenly focused on capitalizing on the growth of both domestic tourism and the increasing influx of international visitors to the Philippines.

Megaworld Hotels & Resorts, already a significant player with 15 properties and 7,000 rooms, anticipates a synergistic benefit from this partnership. Accor’s operational expertise and global reservation system will complement Megaworld’s signature Sampaguita brand of hospitality, creating an unparalleled guest experience.

The financial implications are also noteworthy, with Megaworld Hotels & Resorts reporting a net income of P5.23 billion in the third quarter, a modest increase from the previous year. This continued growth underscores the company’s commitment to delivering exceptional value and expanding its reach.

This collaboration represents more than just a hotel rebranding; it’s a testament to the power of strategic partnerships and a shared vision for the future of hospitality in the Philippines. Mövenpick Manila Bay Westside is poised to become a landmark destination, attracting travelers and setting a new standard for luxury and service.
