A frantic search unfolded Monday evening along Toronto’s waterfront after a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle that immediately fled the scene. Police responded to Queens Quay East and Harbour Street around 7:15 p.m., finding a woman with serious, though ultimately non-life-threatening, injuries.
The vehicle involved was identified as a striking white Lamborghini Urus, a luxury SUV that quickly became the focus of an intense investigation. Eastbound traffic on Queens Quay was halted at Yonge Street, and public transit routes experienced disruptions as officers worked to locate the vehicle.
The search yielded results when the Lamborghini was discovered in a nearby underground parking garage. However, the driver remained at large, prompting a continued pursuit for information and a description of the suspect.
Just hours later, Toronto Police responded to a harrowing scene in the Markham Road and Select Avenue area, where a woman was rushed to hospital with life-threatening injuries after a stabbing. Officers arrived at approximately 7:30 a.m. to find the injured woman, initiating another urgent investigation.
The suspect in the stabbing is described as a light-skinned male, approximately 5-foot-8 with a medium build. He was last seen wearing a baseball hat, a black puffer jacket, and distinctive blue shoes with white trim, fleeing in a light-coloured sedan.
A third, deeply disturbing incident occurred Tuesday morning in Etobicoke, near Lake Shore Boulevard and Eighth Street. Police responding to reports of an assault discovered a woman on fire inside a tent, a scene that immediately demanded emergency medical attention.
The woman was transported to hospital via emergency run, her condition unknown. Adding to the complexity of the situation, a police officer also required hospital treatment for minor injuries sustained while responding to the call.
Finally, a demonstration in the Bathurst Street and Sheppard Avenue West area led to the arrest of a 43-year-old woman, Dina Sheikh Saleem of Mississauga, on charges of assault. The incident occurred on November 23rd, when Saleem allegedly interfered with a pedestrian’s movement and then physically assaulted him.
The victim sustained no physical injuries, but Saleem was taken into custody and is scheduled to appear in court on February 7, 2026. The arrest followed a similar demonstration in the same location on Sunday, where police were able to apprehend her.
