A frantic search is underway for the driver of a white Lamborghini Urus after a pedestrian was seriously injured along Toronto’s waterfront Monday evening. Police responded to Queens Quay East and Harbour Street just after 7:15 p.m., discovering a woman struck by a vehicle that ran a red light and then fled the scene.
Paramedics rushed the injured woman to hospital, thankfully confirming her injuries, while severe, were not life-threatening. The abandoned Lamborghini was later found in a nearby parking garage, but the driver remains at large. Authorities describe the suspect as a man with braided black hair, last seen wearing black clothing and white shoes.
Just hours later, Tuesday morning brought another violent incident. A woman is fighting for her life after being stabbed in the Markham Road and Select Avenue area. Police arrived to find the victim with life-threatening injuries, launching an immediate hunt for the attacker.
The suspect in the stabbing is described as a light-skinned man, approximately 5-foot-8 with a medium build. He was last seen wearing a baseball hat, a black puffer jacket, and distinctive blue shoes with white trim, fleeing the scene in a light-coloured sedan. The nature of the relationship between the victim and attacker remains unknown.
The morning’s darkness deepened with a disturbing discovery in Etobicoke. Officers responding to reports of an assault near Lake Shore Boulevard and Eighth Street found a woman on fire inside a tent. She was immediately transported to hospital via emergency run, her condition currently unknown.
Adding to the chaos, a police officer was also treated for minor injuries at the scene. The circumstances surrounding the fire and the assault are under intense investigation, with authorities appealing for any information that could shed light on this harrowing event.
Meanwhile, a 43-year-old woman from Mississauga faces assault charges following an incident during a demonstration on Bathurst Street and Sheppard Avenue West last weekend. Dina Sheikh Saleem allegedly interfered with a pedestrian’s movement and then physically assaulted him.
The victim thankfully did not sustain any physical injuries. Saleem was arrested Sunday while attending another demonstration in the same area and is scheduled to appear in court on February 7, 2026.
North of the city, York Regional Police are investigating a brutal stabbing outside a business in Markham. A male suspect allegedly waited for a female victim, then attacked her with an edged weapon, inflicting life-altering injuries.
The suspect fled in a newer-model white Nissan Sentra. Investigators are urgently seeking any video footage, dashcam recordings, or eyewitness accounts to help identify and apprehend the attacker. The city is left reeling from a series of violent incidents, and police are relying on the public’s help to bring those responsible to justice.
