SHE STOLE A LIFE FOR A BABY: Former Queen's Shocking Confession!

SHE STOLE A LIFE FOR A BABY: Former Queen's Shocking Confession!

The idyllic facade of a college dorm room shattered on January 14th, 2024, when 18-month-old Jaxton Angeles was found unresponsive. The tiny boy, affectionately known as Romeo, succumbed to injuries that investigators would later describe as horrific – the result of brutal blunt force trauma.

Trinity Poague, a 20-year-old former beauty queen, stood accused. She had been entrusted with Romeo’s care while his father, Julian Williams, ran a quick errand to pick up pizza. Poague has pleaded not guilty to charges including malice murder and first-degree cruelty to children, but the evidence presented paints a chilling picture.

Prosecutors allege a disturbing motive: resentment. They claim Poague harbored bitterness towards Romeo, fueled by her own desire to have a child with Williams. This alleged animosity reportedly spilled into text messages, where she expressed violent impulses towards the helpless toddler, confiding in her roommate about wanting to “punch” him.

Poague initially claimed Romeo fell off the bed, a narrative quickly dismissed by authorities. The medical examiner’s report revealed a devastating truth: “serious disfigurement to his liver” and brain damage so severe it was deemed “useless.” These weren’t the injuries of a simple fall.

The day before the tragedy, the family had enjoyed a seemingly normal outing. Williams reported Romeo was unmarked, showing no signs of distress. But within 35 minutes alone with Poague, the child’s condition deteriorated catastrophically, culminating in fresh bruising on his face upon arrival at the emergency room.

Witnesses recalled hearing Romeo crying for an extended period, a heartbreaking sound that abruptly ceased. Lilly Waterman, a fellow student, remembered the unsettling silence that descended, a silence that spoke volumes to those who heard it.

The extent of Romeo’s injuries was staggering. Beyond the liver laceration and brain bleeds, he suffered a fractured skull with internal hemorrhaging. Investigators determined the injuries were acutely inflicted, impossible to have occurred from a fall as Poague claimed.

“It’s an injury that could have literally only occurred within a few minutes before this child was presented at the emergency room,” stated District Attorney Lewis Lamb, emphasizing the immediacy and violence of the trauma.

Poague’s defense attorney, WT Gamble III, attempts to shift focus, portraying Williams as a “controlling boyfriend” who had been drinking the night before. He maintains there is “no evidence” directly linking Poague to the crime, despite the damning text messages and medical findings.

The fallout from the tragedy has been swift and severe. Poague’s title of Miss Donalsonville was revoked in the wake of her arrest, a symbolic stripping of the image she once projected. Meanwhile, a GoFundMe campaign established to support Jaxton’s grieving father has garnered over $12,000, a testament to the community’s outpouring of support.
