DRUG LORD'S CASH MAN FREED: Justice SHOCKED?

DRUG LORD'S CASH MAN FREED: Justice SHOCKED?

A key figure in an alleged international drug empire has been released on bail, igniting further scrutiny of the sprawling case. Rasheed Pascua Hossain, 32, known on the streets as “JP Morgan” for his financial maneuvering, was granted release from jail despite facing extradition to the United States.

Hossain is accused of laundering hundreds of millions of dollars in profits from drug trafficking, allegedly acting as the financial architect for former Olympic snowboarder Ryan Wedding’s organization. The judge’s decision allows him to reside under house arrest at his family’s home in Calgary, monitored by an ankle bracelet, and crucially, prohibits him from possessing a cellphone.

The U.S. indictment paints a picture of Hossain as central to Wedding’s operation, managing and concealing illicit funds while simultaneously fueling the enterprise’s expansion. He operated under multiple aliases – “Sheed,” “JP Morgan,” and “JP” – skillfully moving money across borders.

Meanwhile, the hunt for Ryan Wedding, 44, intensifies. He’s now listed on the FBI’s Ten Most Wanted list, a designation accompanied by a dramatically increased reward of $15 million USD for information leading to his capture. Authorities believe Wedding is hiding in Mexico, potentially under the protection of the powerful Sinaloa cartel.

Law enforcement describes Wedding’s organization as a ruthless criminal network responsible for flooding North American streets with massive quantities of cocaine, fentanyl, methamphetamine, and heroin. He is suspected of ordering numerous murders, both within Canada and beyond.

The scale of the operation has drawn comparisons to notorious figures like Pablo Escobar and “El Chapo” Guzman. Authorities suggest Wedding utilized trucking companies, some with seemingly legitimate South Asian-Canadian fronts, to transport drugs from Mexico to Los Angeles and then into Canada.

MONEY MAN: The FBI says Rasheed Pascua Hossain was arrested by the RCMP in Vancouver for his alleged role in the Ryan Wedding Criminal Enterprise.

The investigation took a chilling turn with allegations that Wedding ordered the execution of Jonathan Acebedo-Garcia, a former drug trafficker who had been cooperating with the FBI. Referred to as a “rat” by Wedding, a $5 million bounty was allegedly placed on his head, culminating in his murder in Medellin, Colombia.

If convicted of Acebedo-Garcia’s murder, Wedding could face the ultimate penalty: federal death row in Terre Haute, Indiana. The case is rapidly evolving, with investigators hinting at a growing understanding of Wedding’s movements and network.

FBI Assistant Director Akil Davis emphasized the difficulty of remaining hidden in Mexico, stating, “Someone like Ryan Wedding is going to stick out…and that is why we’re soliciting the public’s help.” The pressure is mounting, and the walls appear to be closing in on the alleged kingpin.
