ISIS PLOT SHATTERED: New Year's Eve SAVED!

A chilling plot to unleash violence on New Year’s Eve in North Carolina was dismantled by the FBI, averting a potential tragedy. Authorities revealed the arrest of 18-year-old Christian Sturdivant, charged with attempting to provide material support to a foreign terrorist organization.

The investigation began quietly in January 2022, when a young Sturdivant first came to the attention of law enforcement due to contact with an individual connected to ISIS. He was allegedly instructed to dress in black and carry out attacks on unsuspecting people at their homes.

That initial impulse to violence manifested in a disturbing incident later that month. Sturdivant reportedly left his home, clad in black, intending to attack a neighbor with a knife and hammer, but was stopped by his grandfather who confiscated the weapons.

The threat seemingly subsided, but resurfaced with alarming intensity in December 2025. Sturdivant began communicating with what he believed were ISIS operatives – in reality, two undercover FBI agents.

His commitment to violence escalated rapidly. On December 12th, he declared his intention to commit “jihad soon,” identifying himself as a “soldier of the state” to the undercover agents. This was followed by images of hammers and a knife, and detailed plans for attacking a grocery store.

Further solidifying the danger, Sturdivant sent a voice recording on December 19th, pledging Bayat – a solemn oath of allegiance within Islamic tradition – to ISIS. The FBI in Charlotte was also alerted to his pro-ISIS social media posts.

A search of Sturdivant’s home on December 29th uncovered a disturbing trove of evidence. Handwritten documents, including one titled “New Years Attack 2026,” detailed plans to inflict harm on up to 20 victims and target law enforcement officers.

Hidden under his bed, investigators found two hammers and two butcher knives, grim tools intended for a horrific purpose. The documents and weapons painted a clear picture of a determined and dangerous individual.

FBI officials stated that Sturdivant had explicitly pledged his loyalty to ISIS and committed himself to killing Americans on New Year’s Eve. He reportedly aspired to become a martyr, furthering the violent agenda of the terrorist organization.

The charges against Sturdivant carry a potential sentence of up to 20 years in prison, a consequence for a plot that, thankfully, never came to fruition. The swift action of law enforcement prevented a devastating attack and protected countless lives.
