FEDS GUN DOWN WOMAN: Minneapolis Erupts!

A woman is dead following a shooting involving a U.S. immigration agent in Minneapolis, an event rapidly unfolding and documented by circulating videos. The incident occurred as Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers were conducting what they termed “targeted operations” within the city.

Authorities claim the driver of a vehicle attempted to use it as a weapon, deliberately trying to strike and kill law enforcement officers – a charge described as an act of domestic terrorism. The agent, fearing for his life, discharged his weapon, resulting in fatal injuries to the woman behind the wheel.

Footage of the confrontation quickly spread online, revealing ICE officers positioned near a stopped SUV in a residential area. One agent can be seen attempting to open the driver’s side door, demanding the occupant exit while another stood directly in the vehicle’s path. The SUV then accelerated, and shots rang out.

Members of law enforcement work the scene following a suspected shooting by an ICE agent during federal law enforcement operations in Minneapolis, Wednesday, Jan. 7, 2026.

The vehicle subsequently crashed into a parked car a short distance away. The aftermath has ignited a firestorm of controversy, with starkly different accounts emerging from officials and witnesses.

Former President Trump, after viewing the clip, labeled the situation “a horrible thing to watch.” He characterized the woman in the vehicle as “disorderly, obstructing and resisting,” and suggested she was a “professional agitator.”

This incident occurs against the backdrop of “Operation Metro Surge,” a recent ICE enforcement campaign launched in Minneapolis and surrounding areas. The operation is part of a broader effort to locate and detain individuals residing in the U.S. without legal authorization.

Federal law enforcement officers stand near a roadblock at Portland Avenue and East 32nd Street, Wednesday, Jan. 7, 2026, after reports of a shooting involving federal agents in Minneapolis, where immigration enforcement has been conducting a major crackdown.

Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey vehemently disputed the claim of self-defense, calling it “bulls—.” He condemned the agent’s actions as a reckless use of power that led to a tragic and unnecessary death.

“This was an agent recklessly using power… that resulted in someone dying, getting killed,” Frey stated, expressing outrage at the federal intervention in his city. He issued a direct and forceful demand: “To ICE, get the f— out of Minneapolis.”

Governor Tim Walz echoed the mayor’s sentiments, urging residents to disregard what he called “propaganda” from the Trump administration. He warned weeks prior that the administration’s operations posed a threat to public safety and predicted someone would be harmed.

Walz has mobilized the Minnesota National Guard as a precautionary measure and expressed his condolences to the victim’s family, lamenting that he learned of her death through media coverage. He characterized the administration’s approach as “governing by reality TV” with devastating consequences.

The governor emphasized that Minnesota does not require further assistance from the federal government, directly addressing Trump and Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem: “You’ve done enough. There is nothing more important than Minnesotans’ safety.”

Walz implored citizens to remain safe and engage in peaceful protest, stressing the importance of not allowing the situation to escalate further. He pledged to pursue accountability and justice for the victim’s family, promising a thorough investigation.
