Drew, a Grade 8 student at Shelburne Regional High School, succumbed to his devastating injuries on Monday, leaving behind a heartbroken mother, Dawn Schnare Nickerson. He was known by many as a friend, a passionate outdoorsman, and someone who shared a special bond with his mother through their love of horses.
In the wake of this unimaginable tragedy, a groundswell of compassion has emerged. A campaign was initiated to alleviate the financial strain on Dawn, allowing her to focus solely on healing and grieving during this incredibly difficult time. The response has been overwhelming.
