Greater Manchester Police are meticulously investigating the circumstances surrounding the collision between a red Seat Leon and a Citroen Picasso. Chief Inspector Helen McCormick spoke with deep sadness, confirming the loss of the four individuals and emphasizing the ongoing process of formal identification and family notification.

“This was a devastating incident for all those involved,” stated Chief Inspector McCormick. “Our thoughts are with the families of the deceased, and we have specialist officers providing support during this incredibly difficult time.” Five others were rushed to hospital, their conditions currently unknown, adding to the weight of the tragedy.
