DEADLY SPEED DEMON: Tuned Car in Fatal Crash Had TWICE the Power!

DEADLY SPEED DEMON: Tuned Car in Fatal Crash Had TWICE the Power!

The twisted metal of a red Seat Leon offered a chilling clue. Hours after the devastating crash on Wigan Road in Bolton, investigators discovered the vehicle had been significantly modified – tuned to a staggering 410 Brake Horsepower and 550 Newton-metres of torque. This wasn't the car that rolled off the assembly line in 2013, when the model typically produced 261 bhp.

Footage surfaced, allegedly showing the same car undergoing these powerful enhancements at Narkos Performance Tuning. The modifications weren’t subtle; they dramatically increased the engine’s output and, crucially, its potential for rapid acceleration. A haunting photograph emerged, depicting one of the young men who would later perish in the crash, standing proudly beside the “souped-up” vehicle.

The crash itself was catastrophic. Three young lives were extinguished: Muhammad Danyaal, 19, and Farhan Patel and Mohammed Jibrael Mukhtar, both 18. Their vehicle collided head-on with a taxi, driven by Masrob Ali, a man described by his daughter as a careful and safe driver. Ali also died at the scene.

The impact left a trail of devastation. A 29-year-old woman, a passenger in the taxi, sustained potentially life-threatening injuries and remained hospitalized. Other passengers in the taxi suffered serious and minor injuries, painting a grim picture of the scene. Witnesses described a deafening crash and frantic attempts to administer CPR.

Police are meticulously piecing together the events leading up to the tragedy, appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage. Investigators are acutely aware of the impact that circulating images and videos of the crash will have on the grieving families, and caution against sharing such sensitive material.

The scene was described as “particularly challenging” for emergency responders, who worked tirelessly through the night. While Bolton has seen a reduction in serious collisions, this incident serves as a stark and heartbreaking reminder of the fragility of life and the critical importance of road safety. One life lost is one too many, and the community is left reeling from this unimaginable loss.

Chief Inspector Helen McCormick expressed the collective grief, emphasizing the devastating impact on all involved. The investigation continues, seeking to understand the circumstances that led to this tragedy and to prevent future heartbreak. The weight of the loss hangs heavy over the community, a somber testament to the consequences of speed and altered vehicles.
