HAMILTON ON LOCKDOWN: Gunman Hunted After Brazen Shooting!

A desperate search is underway for a 34-year-old man wanted in connection with a violent attack. The incident unfolded at a motel on Queenston Road, leaving a woman with serious injuries.

Police responded to a report of a stabbing on January 2nd, discovering a woman had been pulled from a vehicle and assaulted by someone she knew. She is currently recovering in hospital from her wounds.

Authorities are focusing their efforts on locating Joel Benjamin, believing he holds crucial information regarding the attack. Anyone with knowledge of his whereabouts is urged to come forward.

Hamilton Police are seeking Joel Benjamin, 34, of Toronto, in an attempted murder investigation.

Meanwhile, a home in King has become the target of two separate shootings within just three days, leaving residents shaken. The incidents have prompted a widespread appeal for witnesses and security footage.

The first shooting occurred Sunday evening, with a suspect seen firing multiple rounds at the house before speeding away in a dark sedan. Remarkably, the home was occupied at the time, but no one was hurt.

Just two days later, the same residence was targeted again, this time with a more brazen attack. The suspect repeatedly pounded on the front door before opening fire on the house and vehicles parked in the driveway, escaping in a red coupe.

Again, the occupants were present during the shooting, yet miraculously escaped injury. Investigators are meticulously reviewing any available surveillance and dashcam footage from the area.

In a separate matter, a recent traffic safety campaign resulted in over 200 arrests for impaired driving. The initiative, spanning from November to January, involved thousands of vehicle stops and roadside breath tests.

Officers conducted over 2,200 breath tests and stopped nearly 24,000 vehicles, highlighting the ongoing commitment to road safety and the dangers of driving under the influence. The campaign underscores the year-round risks associated with impaired driving.

These incidents serve as stark reminders of the unpredictable nature of violence and the importance of community vigilance. Authorities are relying on the public’s assistance to bring those responsible to justice and ensure the safety of residents.
