NEWSOM EXPOSED: White House DECLARES WAR!

California Governor Gavin Newsom publicly distanced himself from calls to “defund ICE,” revealing a disagreement with a previous stance taken by Vice President Kamala Harris during her 2018 presidential campaign. He recalled immediately voicing his concerns on MSNBC, believing such a move would be a significant error in judgment.

Newsom emphasized California’s ongoing cooperation with federal immigration enforcement, specifically highlighting collaboration with ICE through the state’s Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation. He stated California has likely facilitated more ICE transfers than any other state, even vetoing legislation aimed at hindering this cooperation.

The governor defended California’s sanctuary policies, arguing they would be unnecessary with comprehensive federal immigration reform. He asserted his state actively works with ICE, particularly concerning incarcerated individuals, and maintains a pragmatic approach to enforcement.

Recent events, including unrest in Minneapolis following an ICE-involved shooting, have ignited a national debate. The situation unfolded amidst escalating tensions and clashes between protestors and law enforcement officials.

The White House has directly attributed the rising threats against ICE officers to inflammatory rhetoric from the Democratic Party. Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt pointed to the use of charged language, comparing ICE to “Nazis” and “the Gestapo,” as a direct catalyst for the violence witnessed in the streets.

Visual evidence from Minneapolis, including vandalized ICE vehicles and defiant gestures towards officers, underscored the intensity of the animosity. These images fueled the administration’s argument about the consequences of demonizing federal law enforcement.

Department of Homeland Security data revealed a dramatic surge in assaults against ICE officers. Reports indicated a staggering 1,150% increase in attacks compared to the previous year, with 238 assaults recorded between January and November, a stark contrast to the 19 reported during the same period the year before.

The escalating conflict highlights a deep divide over immigration policy and the role of federal enforcement agencies. It underscores the volatile atmosphere surrounding these issues and the potential for further unrest.

Newsom’s office responded to criticism by clarifying the governor supports the removal of violent criminals but opposes indiscriminate roundups of individuals. They called for federal reform to protect both immigrants and U.S. citizens, advocating for a more targeted and just approach to immigration enforcement.
