TRUMP DEPLOYS BORDER WARRIOR: Minnesota ICE Operation Under Lockdown!

TRUMP DEPLOYS BORDER WARRIOR: Minnesota ICE Operation Under Lockdown!

A wave of unrest and scrutiny has descended upon Minneapolis following the fatal shooting of Alex Pretti by federal agents this past weekend. The incident prompted a direct response from former President Trump, who has dispatched Tom Homan, his former border czar, to oversee U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement operations in the state.

This marks Homan’s first direct involvement in Minnesota’s affairs, a region where ICE has significantly increased its presence in recent weeks, aggressively pursuing the administration’s deportation policies. Trump characterized Homan as “tough but fair,” stating he will report directly to him on the unfolding situation.

Beyond the immediate aftermath of the shooting, Trump has focused intensely on alleged widespread welfare fraud within Minnesota, claiming it exceeds $20 billion and fuels the violent protests erupting in the streets. He alleges a direct link between this fraud and the escalating tensions.

White House 'border czar' Tom Homan speaks to the press outside the West Wing of the White House in Washington, DC, on January 14, 2026.

The former president’s attention has also turned to Congresswoman Ilhan Omar, highlighting her personal financial trajectory. Trump questioned how she amassed a reported $44 million fortune after arriving in the United States from Somalia with limited resources, suggesting a potential connection to the alleged fraud.

The scrutiny surrounding the welfare programs centers on a $1-billion fraud, with hundreds of millions allegedly diverted through the Somali community via fraudulent schemes, notably the “Feeding Our Future” scandal. Investigative journalist Nick Shirley first brought these alleged abuses to light, detailing daycare centers operating as fronts for illicit activity.

Omar maintains she was unaware of the fraudulent activities, despite sponsoring legislation that facilitated the flow of $250 million into the programs now under investigation. The Justice Department and Congress are currently examining her involvement.

Pretti’s death is the second fatal shooting involving federal agents in Minneapolis in under three weeks. Earlier this month, Renee Nicole Good, a mother of three, was shot by ICE agent Jonathan Ross as she attempted to drive away from an encounter.

Both shootings occurred in broad daylight, witnessed by numerous individuals including agents and protesters, and were captured on video from multiple angles, further intensifying the already heightened tensions surrounding ICE tactics. The White House has defended the agents’ actions in both instances as justified.

When questioned about the shooting of Pretti, Trump stated that a thorough review is underway and a determination will be made regarding the agents’ conduct. The situation remains volatile as investigations continue and public outrage persists.
