Former President Trump publicly confirmed that Tulsi Gabbard, the former Director of National Intelligence, is actively assisting his team in their ongoing investigation into potential voter fraud within Georgia’s 2020 election results. This revelation comes amidst heightened scrutiny and growing controversy surrounding the investigation.
Gabbard’s presence at the FBI’s execution of search warrants at the Fulton County, Georgia Department of Elections sparked immediate backlash from Democratic lawmakers. Senators Mark Warner and Representative Jim Himes, leading figures on intelligence committees, have formally requested a briefing from Gabbard, demanding an explanation for her involvement in the search.
The lawmakers expressed “deep concern” in a letter to Gabbard, emphasizing the potential dangers of turning intelligence authorities inward. They argued that such actions could severely compromise the privacy and civil liberties of American citizens, diverting resources from critical foreign threat assessments.
