MOM FROM HELL: Kids Abandoned, International Manhunt OVER!

A mother’s obsession with doomsday prophecies spiraled into an international crisis, culminating in the alleged kidnapping of her four children and their abandonment in a Croatian orphanage. Elleshia Anne Seymour, 35, is now in custody in Dubrovnik, Croatia, as authorities navigate a complex legal battle to return the children home.

Seymour faces four felony charges in Utah for custodial interference, accused of taking the children from the state without permission and defying court-ordered visitation rights. Investigators discovered she boarded a one-way flight to Amsterdam in late November, continuing on to Croatia with the children, effectively vanishing from the lives of their fathers.

The realization that the children were missing didn’t come immediately. One father, Kendall Seymour, stated the family only discovered their absence days after the flight to Europe. This delay allowed Seymour to put distance between herself and the children, complicating the search and raising serious concerns for their well-being.

A no-bail arrest warrant was issued in December, fueled by fears that Seymour would continue to flee and the potential danger to her children. Evidence found at her abandoned apartment painted a disturbing picture: an unlocked door, a car at the airport, and a notebook detailing plans to erase her digital footprint.

The documents revealed a chilling level of premeditation. Seymour allegedly forged passport paperwork and left behind a note referencing a divine message promising her arrival in Italy by Christmas. A handwritten to-do list outlined steps to “shred paperwork,” “destroy identifying photos,” and “throw away phone,” indicating a deliberate attempt to disappear.

Police reports detail a voicemail Seymour left for one of the fathers, claiming she was in France and needed to protect the children from the impending “end times.” This message underscored the depth of her beliefs and the perceived urgency driving her actions.

After weeks of searching, the children were located in a Croatian state-run orphanage, safe but separated from their families. Kendall Seymour immediately traveled to Europe, launching a desperate fight to regain custody and bring his children home.

The legal process is proving arduous and expensive. Securing the children’s release requires navigating Croatian law, utilizing the Hague Convention, hiring specialized legal counsel, and providing court-approved translators. The costs are mounting rapidly, extending the family’s stay indefinitely.

Adding another layer of complexity, a fifth American child, traveling with Seymour, is also housed at the orphanage. This child’s situation is even more precarious, requiring a separate legal strategy and further straining already limited resources.

The emotional toll on the families is immense, with the prospect of long-term therapy looming. The journey to reunite with their children is far from over, and the path ahead is filled with uncertainty and financial burdens.
