HOME ALONE HORROR: Drug Dealer's Deadly Trap EXPOSED!

HOME ALONE HORROR: Drug Dealer's Deadly Trap EXPOSED!

A man’s attempt to transform his home into a fortress, mirroring the elaborate traps of the film *Home Alone*, ultimately led to a seven-year prison sentence. Ian Claughton, a drug dealer, meticulously rigged his properties with booby traps, hoping to deter unwanted visitors.

The bizarre scheme came to light when authorities investigated a shipment of imitation firearms ordered from China, destined for Claughton’s ex-wife, Lesley. Inside the package, discovered at Heathrow Airport, were five small revolvers.

Police entering Claughton’s properties discovered a network of homemade devices. A fishing wire stretched across a room, connected to an electrical connector and battery, posed a hidden shock hazard. He claimed the more potent devices were simply crow-scarers, modified with plastic piping and even concealed within a bag of paint.

The arsenal didn’t stop there. Investigators found banger fireworks sealed inside piping, alongside a stun gun hidden behind a refrigerator. A workshop revealed a homemade flame-thrower, adding another layer of danger to the already precarious situation.

Beyond the traps and weaponry, authorities uncovered a significant criminal enterprise. Two high-powered air guns, a crossbow, and £27,000 sewn into a sofa were seized. Cannabis plants flourished in hidden rooms, cultivated within makeshift tents.

Claughton pleaded guilty to several charges, including importing imitation firearms and drug offenses. He was ultimately convicted of possessing prohibited firearms, criminal property, and explosive substances following a trial. His ex-wife, Lesley Claughton, was also found guilty of related offenses.

A chilling note discovered at the scene bluntly warned that “everything was booby trapped,” revealing the extent of Claughton’s calculated defense. The court sentenced Lesley Claughton to 21 months in prison, suspended for two years, acknowledging her involvement in the elaborate scheme.

The case paints a disturbing picture of a man attempting to create a real-life version of a movie fantasy, with dangerous and illegal consequences. His attempt to emulate a beloved film ultimately resulted in a lengthy prison term and the unraveling of a criminal operation.
