Amidst the procedural battles and accusations, Bondi confirmed receiving a criminal referral concerning former CIA Director John Brennan, stemming from allegations of false statements to Congress. The referral is linked to the ongoing investigation into the origins of the 2016 Russia probe.
When pressed on whether Brennan would be indicted, Bondi remained evasive, stating only that “no one is above the law” and that “weaponization has ended,” a claim met with skepticism from committee members.
Representative Jerry Nadler directly questioned Bondi about the number of Epstein’s co-conspirators who had been indicted under her leadership.
