Aboard Air Force One, returning from a trip, former President Trump delivered a scathing critique of several prominent Democrats, focusing on their appearances and statements at the Munich Security Conference.
The former President specifically targeted Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, and California Governor Gavin Newsom, accusing them of causing embarrassment on the international stage.
Ocasio-Cortez drew widespread criticism for a series of misstatements during her remarks in Munich, most notably a claim that Venezuela is “below the equator.” This geographical error quickly became a focal point of mockery.
Trump characterized Ocasio-Cortez as lacking any understanding of global affairs, stating she was unable to answer questions about the world with any coherence.
Hillary Clinton’s participation in a panel discussion on women’s rights also came under fire, specifically her choice of the first guest: Congressman Tim McBride, a transgender individual.
Trump’s comments extended to Clinton herself, dismissing her as simply “Trump deranged” and an “angry woman,” while acknowledging a degree of competence despite her animosity.
The former President also leveled criticism at Governor Newsom, asserting that he had “destroyed California” and that Ocasio-Cortez was oblivious to the state’s struggles.
Trump further elaborated on these sentiments in a post on his social media platform, reiterating that the Democrats had made “fools of themselves” and were poor representatives of the country.
He emphasized the importance of speaking positively about the United States, particularly when addressing international audiences, and contrasted their performance with what he considered the country’s current success.
The remarks, delivered during a press conference aboard Air Force One, offered a glimpse into the former President’s continued engagement with current political figures and events.
