TRUMP UNLEASHES: Congressman BETRAYED & ENDORSEMENT REVOKED!

A political earthquake rumbled through Colorado’s 3rd District as former President Trump abruptly rescinded his endorsement of Republican Congressman Jeff Hurd. The stunning move followed Hurd’s assertion of Congress’s constitutional authority over trade, a direct challenge to Trump’s aggressive tariff policies.

The fallout began after a Supreme Court ruling limited the president’s power to impose tariffs through emergency declarations. Hurd, referencing the Constitution’s separation of powers, publicly stated that major trade decisions should be rooted in clear legal authority, not expansive interpretations of executive power.

Trump responded swiftly and forcefully on his social media platform, accusing Hurd of prioritizing foreign interests over American prosperity. He specifically cited Hurd’s lack of support for what he termed “unbelievably successful TARIFFS” that had, in Trump’s view, made America “Richer, Stronger, Bigger, and Better.”

The former president framed the withdrawal of support as a rare and difficult decision, recalling a similar action taken against former Alabama Congressman Mo Brooks. He insisted such moves were necessary to “MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!”

This public break between Trump and a Republican incumbent came hours after Trump announced plans to escalate tariffs on goods from around the world, raising the rate from 10% to 15%. This action was a direct response to the Supreme Court’s decision, which he labeled “deeply disappointing” and “anti-American.”

Hurd argued that while he shared Trump’s goals for strong trade enforcement, it must be built on a “durable legal footing.” He advocated for Congress to directly debate and vote on tariffs, upholding the constitutional system designed by the Founding Fathers.

In place of Hurd, Trump enthusiastically endorsed Hope Scheppelman, a Navy veteran and critical care nurse practitioner. He lauded her commitment to “America First Policies” and confidently declared she “will NEVER LET YOU DOWN!”

The endorsement reversal underscores a growing tension between Trump’s assertive executive power and the constitutional checks and balances intended to limit it. It signals a willingness to challenge even loyal Republicans who dare to question his approach to trade and governance.

Trump’s tariff hike, authorized under the Trade Act of 1974, represents a bold attempt to circumvent the Supreme Court’s limitations on his authority. The move promises to further ignite debate over the balance of power between the executive and legislative branches.
