BCRemit UNLEASHES Global Payments: SMEs, Prepare for LIFTOFF!

BCRemit UNLEASHES Global Payments: SMEs, Prepare for LIFTOFF!

A Filipino-born company is rapidly reshaping the landscape of international money transfers, extending its reach far beyond its initial focus on overseas Filipino workers.

BCRemit now operates in 23 countries and is poised to offer specialized cross-border payment solutions to a much wider audience – small businesses, outsourcing companies, and freelancers globally.

The company’s ambition isn’t limited to the Filipino diaspora; it aims to become a key financial partner for major migrant communities from India, Mexico, and China, offering a uniquely tailored service.

Founder and CEO Oliver Calma believes Filipino innovation can deliver transformative financial solutions worldwide, built on a foundation of strong values and a deep understanding of global economic needs.

A key innovation launching in 2026 will be a QR-payment collection feature, developed in partnership with Coins.ph, designed to dramatically speed up and simplify outbound remittances from the Philippines.

This new feature will tap into the surging remittance economy, which saw $2.91 billion flow through channels in a single month, offering a faster, more efficient way for funds to reach their destination.

BCRemit’s long-term vision extends beyond simple money transfers; the company plans to evolve into a comprehensive financial platform offering loans, digital wallets, stablecoins, and investment opportunities.

Since its inception, BCRemit has already processed over one million transactions, totaling over $600 million, demonstrating its capacity to handle significant volumes of international settlements.

A strategic partnership with Circle Internet Financial is at the heart of BCRemit’s efficiency, leveraging blockchain technology and USDC stablecoins to drastically reduce transaction costs to around 1% – a fraction of the global average of 6.4%.

This technology also enables near-instant settlements, bypassing the traditional three-to-five-day delays associated with conventional banking systems, ensuring more of the sender’s money reaches the recipient.

Co-founder and Director Gio Calma shares a deeply personal motivation, recalling the impact of financial delays on his own family and fueling the company’s commitment to innovation.

For BCRemit, remittances aren’t merely transactions; they represent a vital lifeline for families, and the company is dedicated to building a trustworthy financial gateway for Filipinos worldwide.

Operating under the strict regulatory oversight of financial authorities in the Philippines, the UK, Spain, and Canada, BCRemit prioritizes compliance and security for its over 10.8 million overseas Filipino customers.

The company’s core mission remains clear: to provide seamless, secure financial services, designed by Filipinos, for Filipinos – and now, for a growing global community.
