MANHUNT IGNITED: Killer on the LOOSE After Brutal Canada Shooting!

MANHUNT IGNITED: Killer on the LOOSE After Brutal Canada Shooting!

A Canada-wide warrant has been issued for the arrest of Abdul Yeberebaba, 20, in connection with the murder of 15-year-old Jakhai Jack. The search intensifies as investigators believe Yeberebaba is directly responsible for the tragic shooting that occurred in Mount Dennis on June 9th.

Detective Sergeant Campbell Phillip Campbell addressed the media, his voice resolute: “We need to get this person into custody. He needs to face charges for what he allegedly did.” The pursuit is relentless, fueled by a determination to bring justice to Jakhai’s family and the community.

Alongside the hunt for Yeberebaba, police have made two arrests for allegedly assisting in the murder. Jayden Samuel-James, 19, was apprehended Tuesday, charged with being an accessory after the fact. Rajveer Gill, 21, was arrested in British Columbia and is being returned to Toronto to face the same charge.

Deputy Chief Rob Johnson emphasized the unwavering commitment of homicide detectives. “They never stop looking and always have the victims’ families top of mind,” he stated, acknowledging the lasting impact these cases have on those who investigate them. The weight of responsibility is immense.

Investigators are urging Yeberebaba to surrender. “Get a lawyer and turn yourself in,” Campbell implored, warning that the net is tightening. The message is clear: escape is becoming increasingly impossible.

This case unfolds against a backdrop of escalating youth violence in the city. The senseless loss of young lives is becoming tragically commonplace, demanding a response that goes beyond investigation and addresses the root causes of this crisis.

The pain echoes recent tragedies, including the death of eight-year-old JahVai Roy, who was fatally shot in his bed in August. The swift and thorough investigation in that case, leaving “no stone unturned” according to Chief Myron Demkiw, underscores the dedication to finding justice for every victim.

Superintendent Richard Harris poignantly stated after Jahvai’s death, “He should have made it home.” These words encapsulate the profound grief and outrage felt by the community when a child’s life is stolen.

Jakhai Jack was an innocent bystander, unconnected to gang activity. “He was not involved in any gangs or any kind of criminality,” Campbell confirmed. “This was a completely unprovoked act of violence.” He was simply with friends when his life was cut short.

Police are actively seeking public assistance in locating Yeberebaba. They are appealing to anyone with information to come forward, while simultaneously warning against aiding a fugitive. Any assistance could result in criminal charges.

The Homicide Squad continues to work around the clock, driven by the memory of a 15-year-old boy with a future stolen. The pursuit of justice for Jakhai remains the unwavering focus, a testament to the dedication of those who seek to bring closure to a grieving community.
