IRAN WAR WILL BE CATASTROPHIC: Germany Issues DIRE Warning!

A stark condemnation echoed from Berlin as German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier delivered a blistering rebuke of the United States’ actions regarding Iran. He didn’t mince words, labeling the conflict a clear violation of international law and a profoundly disastrous error in judgment.

Steinmeier’s criticism wasn’t simply political posturing; it stemmed from direct experience. He revealed his deep frustration, recalling his pivotal role in negotiating the original nuclear deal with Iran during his tenure as Germany’s foreign minister from 2013 to 2017 – a deal now shattered.

He argued the war was entirely “avoidable,” an unnecessary escalation fueled by a misguided attempt to prevent Iran from developing nuclear capabilities. The weight of that assertion hung heavy, suggesting a path not taken, a diplomatic solution discarded in favor of military action.

The consequences, Steinmeier warned, extend far beyond the immediate conflict. He predicted an irreparable fracture in the relationship between Germany and the United States, forcing Germany to prioritize its own defense and the security of Europe.

Steinmeier painted a picture of fundamentally divergent worldviews, asserting the current U.S. administration operates with a disregard for established international norms, partnerships, and the trust painstakingly built over decades. He believes a return to the previous status quo is impossible.

Drawing a parallel to the shift in relations with Russia following February 24, 2022, Steinmeier stated that transatlantic relations will never be the same after January 20, 2025 – a pointed reference to a potential second inauguration day for the former U.S. President. The damage, he implied, is too extensive.

Germany, he insisted, must now step forward as a pillar of conventional defense within Europe. Recognizing a significant technological dependence on the United States, Steinmeier stressed the urgent need for greater autonomy and self-reliance.

While his presidential role is largely ceremonial, allowing for greater freedom of expression, Steinmeier’s forceful statement is expected to amplify pressure on Chancellor Friedrich Merz. Merz, previously more reserved in his commentary, has recently voiced concerns about the lack of a clear exit strategy from the U.S. and Israel.
