NEWSOM'S EPIC FAIL: Trump DESTROYS California's Gas Price Attack!

A swift reaction to a significant military operation against Iran backfired spectacularly for a prominent political team. Following reports of a joint US-Israeli action targeting Iranian leadership, an attempt to criticize a former president ignited a fierce backlash.

The operation, dubbed ‘Operation Epic Fury,’ reportedly resulted in the elimination of key figures within the Iranian regime, including Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and at least 40 other senior leaders. While some Democrats voiced condemnation, one governor’s office seized the moment to score political points.

The governor’s press office posted a statement highlighting California’s relatively stable gasoline prices, contrasting it with the potential market disruption caused by the military action. The message implied a connection between the operation and rising fuel costs, framing it as a negative consequence of the former president’s policies.

However, the response was immediate and devastating. The US Oil and Gas Association swiftly challenged the assertion, directly addressing the governor’s team with pointed criticism. They labeled the staffer responsible for the post dismissively and then delivered a stark reality check.

Despite possessing an estimated 1.7 billion barrels of oil reserves, California relies heavily on foreign sources for its crude oil. The association revealed that approximately 63% of the state’s oil is imported, a dependence they argued was self-inflicted.

A detailed breakdown followed, outlining the origins of California’s imported oil: Iraq accounts for roughly 21%, Brazil for 20%, Guyana for 16%, Ecuador for 14%, and Colombia for 6%. Canada and Mexico contribute smaller percentages, with the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia filling the remaining gap.

The association concluded with a stinging rebuke, asserting that California’s vulnerability to foreign market fluctuations stems directly from its own policies. The state’s reliance on external suppliers, they argued, is a consequence of prioritizing ideological commitments over energy independence.

The incident exposed a critical disconnect between political messaging and the complex realities of California’s energy situation, turning a calculated jab into a glaring illustration of the state’s own vulnerabilities.
