MAYOR BETRAYS AMERICA: Sides With Iran Enemies!

A stark contrast unfolded in the wake of recent strikes: jubilant Iranians in New York City celebrating the elimination of Ayatollah Khamenei, while their mayor, Zohran Mamdani, issued a statement sharply criticizing the actions that led to it.

Mamdani labeled the U.S. and Israeli strikes an “illegal war of aggression,” a characterization that immediately drew fire. Former Mayor Eric Adams responded swiftly, condemning the statement as a “dangerous oversimplification” that ignored decades of Iranian-sponsored terror and brutal repression.

The core of the disagreement lies in a profound disconnect regarding Iran’s history. For decades, the Islamic Republic has been a primary state sponsor of terrorism, fueling conflicts through proxies like Hezbollah and Hamas, and relentlessly suppressing its own people.

Two men in formal attire, one with a beard and the other wearing a traditional headdress, both depicted in a professional setting.

The recent crackdown on Iranian protests offers a chilling illustration of this brutality. Estimates of civilian deaths range from over 7,000 to a staggering 36,500, a horrifying toll obscured by internet blackouts and government manipulation of information.

The United Nations and human rights organizations paint a grim picture of systematic violence. Reports detail the use of heavy weaponry against unarmed protesters, widespread torture, and a surge in executions – the highest since the late 1980s.

Central to Iran’s repressive apparatus is the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), designated a Foreign Terrorist Organization by the U.S. in 2019. This powerful entity operates as a state within a state, controlling vast economic resources and a formidable military force.

The IRGC’s reach extends far beyond Iran’s borders. It has cultivated a network of proxy groups responsible for attacks on U.S. forces, Israeli civilians, and civilian infrastructure in Yemen and Syria, leaving a trail of devastation across the Middle East.

Evidence links the Quds Force, a branch of the IRGC, to global assassination plots and bombings, including the 1994 AMIA bombing in Argentina and a 2011 attempt on the Saudi ambassador to the United States. Their actions demonstrate a clear pattern of malicious intent.

Mamdani’s silence regarding these atrocities, coupled with his condemnation of the strikes against Khamenei and the IRGC, raises serious questions. His limited statement on the protests – merely expressing disapproval of the government’s response – falls far short of a meaningful condemnation of decades of abuse.

The strikes were not simply an act of aggression, but a targeted effort to dismantle the infrastructure of a regime built on terror and oppression. The removal of Khamenei and disruption of the IRGC represent a potential turning point for a nation yearning for freedom.

To ignore the documented history of Iranian brutality and instead criticize those who acted to counter it is not leadership, but a dangerous disregard for the suffering of millions and a betrayal of fundamental human rights principles.
