A five-year-old mixed breed dog named Lola has been waiting for her forever home since being surrendered to the Toronto Humane Society in August 2025.
Lola is a highly intelligent dog who enjoys learning through problem solving and can be playful, smart, loyal, athletic, and affectionate.
However, Lola has been experiencing leash reactivity towards other dogs, which can cause her to bark and lunge on walks.
Despite this, Lola has shown improvement with positive reinforcement training and responds well to treats, making her a suitable candidate for an active and patient owner who is willing to invest time and energy into her training.
Lola requires regular physical exercise and mental enrichment to prevent boredom and stress, and would do best in a quieter neighbourhood where dog encounters can be easily managed.
A guardian with consistency, structure, and clear expectations would be ideal for Lola, and experienced dog owners are encouraged to apply for adoption.

Lola is not the only adoptable pet available, as the society continues to work towards finding forever homes for its many animals in need.
