FAKE DENTIST HORROR: She DRILLed Into a Patient's Mouth!

A quiet dispute in New Jersey spiraled into a shocking discovery, leading to the arrest of a woman accused of performing dental work without a license. The case began with what officers initially dismissed as a routine disagreement between two individuals, a far cry from the unsettling truth that would soon emerge.

The investigation unfolded over several months, starting in September. Police were alerted to a potential issue when a man reported a troubling encounter – a partially completed root canal performed by someone not qualified to wield a drill. The initial report hinted at a simple financial dispute, but a deeper look revealed a much more serious breach of trust and public safety.

The man claimed he’d found Ana Amato through WhatsApp, where she advertised her dental services. He agreed to pay $1,000 for a root canal, providing a $300 down payment. During the appointment, Amato allegedly administered an anesthetic and began drilling, only to abruptly halt the procedure and reschedule for later in the week.

A New Jersey woman was arrested for performing dental work without a licence.

Before the rescheduled appointment, Amato informed the man she couldn’t complete the work, offering a list of licensed dentists instead. A heated argument erupted when she refused to refund his $300 deposit. He arrived at the police station still clutching gauze in his mouth, desperate for recourse.

Detectives meticulously investigated, uncovering evidence that Amato had been practicing dentistry illegally. A search warrant was executed at her office on February 19th, resulting in the seizure of multiple items related to the alleged practice. The scene painted a disturbing picture of an unqualified individual attempting complex medical procedures.

Ana Amato now faces serious charges, including second-degree aggravated assault, financial facilitation of criminal activity, and unlawful practice of dentistry. The ongoing investigation promises to reveal the full extent of her alleged activities and the potential harm inflicted upon unsuspecting patients.

The South River Police Department emphasized the importance of thoroughness in every investigation, regardless of initial appearances. This case serves as a stark reminder of the risks associated with seeking medical treatment from unlicensed practitioners and the dedication of law enforcement to protecting the public.
