A chilling scene unfolded at Old Dominion University as a gunman opened fire, shattering the peace of the Virginia campus. The attacker, identified as 36-year-old Mohamed Bailor Jalloh, reportedly yelled "Allahu Akbar" as he unleashed violence, leaving one dead and two injured.

Investigators discovered that Jalloh, a naturalized U.S. citizen originally from Sierra Leone, attempted to purchase firearms in multiple states after connecting with ISIS members in Nigeria. This history paints a picture of a man consumed by extremist ideology.
The two injured victims are currently in stable condition, one having been transported to a local hospital and the other seeking treatment independently. The university immediately canceled classes and offered counseling services to students and staff grappling with the trauma.
