PROPERTY MANAGERS RAIDED: Your Money STOLEN for Vegas & Bets?!

PROPERTY MANAGERS RAIDED: Your Money STOLEN for Vegas & Bets?!

A quiet alarm rippled through Tallahassee’s financial landscape last October when authorities received a concerning report. A client’s assets, entrusted to CORE Property Management, appeared to be mishandled, sparking an investigation that would soon reveal a disturbing pattern of alleged deception.

Detectives with the Tallahassee Police Department swiftly began dissecting CORE Property Management’s banking records, meticulously tracing the flow of funds. What they uncovered pointed to a deliberate commingling of client money with the company’s operating account – a critical first step in a scheme that would allegedly siphon tens of thousands of dollars for personal gain.

The investigation quickly escalated, revealing a trail of transactions far removed from legitimate property management expenses. Instead of repairs and maintenance, the client’s funds were allegedly diverted to lavish personal expenditures, painting a picture of brazen misuse of trust.

Tallahassee property managers accused of spending client funds on gambling and travel. Mugshots of Miranda Ard and Timothy Ard shown side by side after their arrests. Miranda Ard, a blonde woman with long hair, appears on the left. Timothy Ard, a man with short dark hair and a beard wearing a green shirt, appears on the right. Both images are labeled “Arrested.”

Investigators detailed a spending spree that included extravagant personal travel, luxurious cruises, and the allure of gambling. The alleged misappropriation didn’t stop there; funds were also reportedly used for beauty services, fine dining, and a variety of entertainment expenses.

As evidence mounted, detectives executed search warrants at both CORE Property Management’s office in Leon County and the home of the company’s owners in neighboring Wakulla County. These searches aimed to secure crucial documentation and solidify the case against those involved.

Miranda Ard, 42, and Timothy Ard, 47, were subsequently arrested and charged with organized scheme to defraud over $50,000 and grand theft. The couple, central figures in CORE Property Management, now face serious legal consequences for their alleged actions.

Tallahassee Police Chief Lawrence Revell emphasized the department’s unwavering commitment to combating financial crimes. He stated that protecting individuals and businesses from exploitation remains a top priority, and those who engage in such activities will be held accountable.

The case serves as a stark reminder of the potential for financial crimes to ripple through a community, impacting not only direct victims but also the broader economic landscape. The investigation remains active, with detectives continuing to analyze financial records and pursue any additional leads.

Authorities are urging anyone with information related to this case or similar activity to come forward, hoping to ensure that all those responsible are brought to justice and to prevent future instances of financial exploitation.
