SLEX Toll Road 4 to Open Partially by December

The Department of Transportation announced that the South Luzon Expressway Toll Road 4 project will begin partial operations by December.

Acting Secretary Giovanni Z. Lopez said construction is on schedule and that Packages A and C should open before year’s end.

The goal is to have the road fully operational between November and December.

Package A, an 11.32‑kilometer stretch from Sto. Tomas, Batangas, to Makban, Laguna, is slated for completion in December, according to the Department of Public Works and Highways.

The entire project, divided into six packages, is expected to finish by June 2029.

SMC SLEX, Inc., a subsidiary of San Miguel Corp., manages the project.

The estimated cost is P58.42 billion, excluding Package F, a 9.96‑kilometer segment between Tayabas and Mayao, Lucena City, Quezon.

The toll road will span 66.74 kilometers and feature four lanes, connecting Sto. Tomas with Tayabas and Lucena City.
