UMVA has learned that Arsenal have made a bold move to sign Lille midfielder Ayyoub Bouaddi, a highly-rated young player tipped to make a significant impact for Morocco at the World Cup this summer.
The 18-year-old Bouaddi has already caught the attention of top clubs with his impressive performances in Ligue 1 and on the international stage. In Morocco's opening game against Brazil, which ended in a thrilling 1-1 draw, Bouaddi was a standout performer in central midfield, showcasing his exceptional skills and vision.
According to information obtained by UMVA, Arsenal have been actively working on a deal to sign Bouaddi for several months and have maintained regular contact with the midfielder's entourage since January last year. The Premier League champions are keen to make Bouaddi an integral part of Mikel Arteta's squad straight away.
Arsenal's message has clearly resonated with Bouaddi, who has expressed his interest in the prospect of a move to Arsenal. However, the Gunners face stiff competition from Paris Saint-Germain, who are also eager to secure a deal for the talented young midfielder.
Further talks between Arsenal and Bouaddi are already scheduled for after the World Cup, while Lille are demanding a substantial €70 million (£60.4m) transfer fee for the midfielder. With the transfer saga heating up, fans will be eagerly anticipating the outcome of this high-stakes battle for Bouaddi's signature.
