DARK WEB KINGPIN SMASHED: Global Hunt Ends in Dramatic Arrest!

DARK WEB KINGPIN SMASHED: Global Hunt Ends in Dramatic Arrest!

A shadow fell over Victoria as a four-year investigation into a sophisticated drug network finally reached a critical juncture. Isaac Oliveira-Scott, 29, a man accused of peddling deadly fentanyl pills through the hidden corners of the dark web, has been brought back to British Columbia after a desperate attempt to disappear in Germany.

The initial arrest came in February, a raid on a Lower Mainland residence revealing a disturbing cache: stolen firearms, a variety of illicit drugs including fentanyl, cocaine, and methamphetamine, alongside counterfeit identification and a significant amount of cash. Despite this, Oliveira-Scott was released while the investigation continued, a decision that would soon be tested.

He vanished in May, slipping out of Canada before formal charges could be laid. A Canada-wide warrant was issued, and the alarm spread internationally with an Interpol Red Notice, signaling to law enforcement agencies across the globe that this man was wanted. The hunt had begun, spanning continents and challenging investigators to unravel a web of digital deception.

A Victoria man who allegedly sold fentanyl pills on the dark web has been returned from Germany where he fled after his initial arrest.

The RCMP’s federal policing team relentlessly pursued Oliveira-Scott, working with international partners to dismantle his carefully constructed escape. Their success underscores a powerful message: evading justice is rarely permanent, especially when facing a determined and collaborative law enforcement effort.

This wasn’t a simple drug operation; it was a meticulously planned enterprise. Investigators discovered the network had exploited the anonymity of the dark web, utilizing cryptocurrency and Canada Post to distribute illegal drugs and dangerously counterfeit pills containing fentanyl across the country. The suspects actively concealed their identities, adding layers of complexity to the case.

The investigation isn’t solely focused on Oliveira-Scott. Treshaun Thompson, 28, also facing drug trafficking charges, disappeared last September, last seen in Victoria’s Rockland neighbourhood. He was awaiting trial when he vanished, and despite ongoing efforts by Victoria police, his whereabouts remain unknown.

Alleged Victoria drug trafficker Treshaun Thompson was reported missing on Sept. 22, 2025.

Adding another layer of mystery, several of the charges against Thompson were stayed in January, further complicating the search for answers. While Oliveira-Scott’s return marks a significant victory, the disappearance of Treshaun Thompson casts a long, unsettling shadow over the case.

The RCMP emphasized the extraordinary complexity of the investigation, highlighting the lengths to which these individuals went to hide their activities. This case serves as a stark reminder of the evolving challenges faced by law enforcement in combating the flow of illicit drugs and the dangers lurking within the digital underworld.
