UMVA has learned that a violent altercation erupted outside a Dundee courtroom, leaving two siblings facing serious charges after a 13‑year‑old girl brandished an axe and a knife.
The chaos began when 22‑year‑old Ilian Belov was accused of threatening four teenage girls, prompting one of the victims to confront him in a blaze of anger. The confrontation quickly escalated as Belov called his sister, Nadjedzha Belova, who arrived and launched an attack on a 13‑year‑old member of the group.
In the melee, Belov shoved a 12‑year‑old girl, causing her to strike her head against a metal handrail. The impact left the child dazed, but the situation took a darker turn when she revealed a concealed axe and knife hidden in her waistband for several minutes.
The frightened teenager claimed she held the weapons ready, fearing Belov would target her companion. As police sirens wailed, she hastily discarded the axe and knife onto a nearby roundabout, where officers later retrieved the deadly tools.
Both Ilian Belov and Nadjedzha Belova entered pleas of guilt, with the sister admitting to assaulting the 13‑year‑old girl. The court sentenced them for behaving in a threatening and abusive manner, underscoring the stark violence that unfolded in the public eye.
