IRAN'S WAR GAMBIT: Ceasefire COLLAPSING!

IRAN'S WAR GAMBIT: Ceasefire COLLAPSING!

A chilling warning echoed from Tehran just days before a fragile ceasefire was set to collapse. Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, Speaker of the Iranian Parliament, publicly threatened to escalate tensions, hinting at undisclosed military actions if demands weren't met.

Ghalibaf accused the United States of attempting to exploit the ceasefire – brokered by Pakistan – not as a path to genuine negotiation, but as a prelude to forcing Iran’s surrender or justifying further aggression. He declared Iran would not negotiate under duress, revealing preparations were underway to unveil “new cards on the battlefield.”

The threat followed a recent round of peace talks in Islamabad, where Ghalibaf led the Iranian delegation opposite Vice President JD Vance. These discussions unfolded while the initial two-week ceasefire held, a temporary reprieve now rapidly nearing its end.

As the deadline loomed, Vice President Vance was scheduled to return to Pakistan for a second attempt at securing a lasting peace. However, Iran’s posture suggested a hardening of resolve, not a willingness to compromise.

Adding fuel to the fire, Iran announced the reimposition of restrictions on the strategically vital Strait of Hormuz. This move directly contradicted earlier assurances of an open waterway, reversing a decision that had briefly eased global anxieties.

The United States responded with a claim of the Strait being “COMPLETELY OPEN,” but simultaneously asserted the maritime blockade would persist “until there is a ‘DEAL.’” This contradictory stance only deepened the sense of impending crisis.

Iran’s military command swiftly countered, stating control of the Strait had reverted to its previous state, firmly under the authority of its armed forces. Restrictions would remain in place, they declared, mirroring the duration of the U.S. blockade.

The situation escalated further with Iran’s outright rejection of continued participation in the Islamabad talks. A Foreign Ministry spokesman made it clear that Iran would not be bound by deadlines or ultimatums, steadfastly defending its national interests and “red lines.”

The spokesman dismissed any U.S. delegation’s presence in Islamabad as a matter solely concerning the United States, reinforcing Iran’s determination to pursue its own course, regardless of external pressure.
