Liverpool are reportedly exploring an alternative to their top target Bradley Barcola, with Juventus winger Francisco Conceicao emerging as a potential option.
The Reds have already held preliminary talks over Barcola, who is valued at €170m by Paris Saint-Germain, but could face paying a high fee for the France international.
Liverpool are in the market for a top-class attacking signing this summer, following the departure of club legend Mohamed Salah at the end of last season.
Conceicao, a 23-year-old Portuguese international, is available for €50m, significantly cheaper than Barcola, but his limited experience and goal-scoring record raise doubts about his suitability for the English top flight.
With only 11 goals in 82 games for Juve, Conceicao has yet to establish himself as a prolific goal-scorer, and his transfer to Liverpool would come with a significant risk.
Despite the cheaper price tag, some believe that Liverpool would be better off paying the money for Barcola or negotiating a lower fee for him, rather than taking a chance on Conceicao.
After last summer's big spending on Florian Wirtz and Alexander Isak failed to yield the desired results, Liverpool fans will be hoping that the club can find a more suitable solution to their attacking needs.
