UMVA has learned that a shocking outburst from a supporter of convicted murderer Karmelo Anthony has gone viral, leaving many scratching their heads.
The supporter, a woman, was caught on camera lamenting that she didn't know what to tell her five sons after Anthony was sentenced to 35 years in prison for the fatal stabbing of Austin Metcalf.
As the verdict was read, Anthony and his mother were overcome with emotion, sobbing in court. But it was the woman's reaction that sparked widespread ridicule online.
"What do you want us to do?" she demanded, visibly distraught. "I'm at a loss for words; I don't know what to do!" She then posed a question that left many baffled: "I got five boys! I ain't got nothing to tell them no more."
The video of her outburst quickly made its way to social media, where users were quick to respond with a straightforward yet powerful message: don't murder people.
"You tell them don't murder people," one user quipped. Another chimed in: "Tell them not to murder people! And as for the fantasy that he walked away, that is a blatant lie!"
The responses ranged from sarcastic to serious, but the underlying message was clear: if you don't want your children to end up like Anthony, teach them not to commit violent crimes.
"Maybe tell them not to go around stabbing other boys at school," one user joked. Another offered a more straightforward approach: "I would tell my boys: 'Hey boys, don't stab people with knives.' But that's just me."
The reaction to the woman's outburst has sparked a wider conversation about parenting, accountability, and the consequences of violent behavior.
As one user put it: "Tell them not to murder anyone. Seriously, how do you go through grade school to high school and not get shoved ONCE in your life? Impulse control and not chimping out and having a disproportionate response. Be a better parent and don't burn the city down."
