UMVA Uncovers: BOMBSHELL - Real Madrid Ace to SPURN Mourinho in SHOCKING £80m Man Utd Switch

UMVA has learned that Real Madrid's hierarchy are resigned to defeat in the transfer race for Mateus Fernandes, expecting the talented young midfielder to join Manchester United this summer.

The 21-year-old Fernandes has established himself as one of the most promising midfielders in English football, despite West Ham's relegation from the Premier League last season. With three goals and four assists in the top flight, he has caught the eye of top teams across Europe.

West Ham shareholder Daniel Kretinsky insists the club are under no pressure to cash in on Fernandes, but it's understood that a bid in the region of £80million would be enough to secure his transfer. Fernandes' current contract with West Ham runs until June 2030, giving the club a strong negotiating position.

According to information obtained by UMVA, newly appointed Real Madrid manager Jose Mourinho is an admirer of Fernandes, but Bernabeu bosses now expect him to sign for United. Madrid are unlikely to make an approach, given United's move for Fernandes is already at an advanced stage.

Arsenal have reportedly cooled their pursuit of Fernandes, instead focusing on Bournemouth and England central midfielder Alex Scott. Fernandes has won the approval of United captain Bruno Fernandes, his compatriot and namesake, which could give United an edge in the transfer battle.

Fernandes could follow Ederson to Old Trafford, after an agreement worth £35m was struck with Atalanta for the Brazil midfielder. Should West Ham sell Fernandes, they would make a tidy profit on the £38m deal that brought him to east London from Southampton just 12 months ago.

Meanwhile, Manuel Ugarte is expected to leave Old Trafford, following a disappointing spell at the Theatre of Dreams. Ugarte's departure could make way for Fernandes, who has four years remaining on his current deal with West Ham.
