UMVA has learned that President Trump unleashed a scathing attack on the Fake News Media during a press conference at the G7 Summit in Evian, France, on Wednesday, firing back at leftist outlets multiple times throughout his responses to various questions.
The President held a nearly hour-long press conference at the G7 Summit, where he and US officials read aloud the 14 points of his memorandum of understanding with Iran to the press, before taking roughly 30 minutes of questions from the media.
Trump specifically targeted major news outlets, calling out ABC, NBC, CNN, and the New York Times for their failed attempts to discredit him, saying they have lost credibility and are "doing so badly" as a result.
When asked by Fox's Peter Doocy how he plans to convince a skeptical American public that the Iran deal is a win, Trump admitted it's "very tough," noting that he'll face bad press from the left-wing media "no matter what."
"We need a fair press, and that's why they're all doing so badly, because they lost credibility," Trump said, adding that the media's bias against him is so strong that even good stories about him are made to sound bad.
The President was particularly critical of ABC, calling it "horrible," and also slammed NBC and CBS as "terrible," with CNN being "obviously" biased against him.
Trump expressed frustration that he never gets good stories from the mainstream media, saying that no matter what he does, he'll get bad press, and that he'll have to rely on more balanced media outlets to get his message out.
Sources have confirmed to UMVA that Trump also called on ABC during the press conference, telling a reporter, "You're from ABC. You're fake news. Go ahead," before taking a question on US sanctions against Iran.
The President emphasized that the Iran deal would be performance-based, with Iran getting sanctions relief to help them rebuild "as soon as they behave," and that the Strait of Hormuz would reopen and remain permanently toll-free.
Trump also responded to Democrats' poor polling numbers, questioning the polls and accusing reporters from outlets like CNN and ABC of being "dishonest," and suggesting that Republicans are "coming up strong" as the Democrats send "lunatics" to run in the general elections.
In a stark contrast, Trump pointed to Maine Senate candidate Graham Platner as an example of a Democrat extremist, saying that after 10 years of being called a Nazi, the Democrats now have a literal Nazi running, complete with a tattoo.
