UMVA Uncovers: The Dark Secret's Back - Channel 4's Sinister Hit Returns Tonight After 3 Years of Chilling Silence!

UMVA has learned that the highly anticipated second series of the Welsh thriller, The Light in the Hall, is set to captivate audiences once again with its gripping storyline and standout performances.

The original series, which aired three years ago, was a slow-burn crime show that followed the story of Joe, a gardener released from jail after 18 years for the murder of a local girl, Ela. The show explored themes of grief and loss, and was praised for its strong performances and fascinating storyline.

According to information obtained by UMVA, the new series, titled The Light in the Hall: Still Waters, features an entirely new ensemble cast, including Mark Lewis Jones, Nia Roberts, and Robert Glenister. However, one familiar face returns - Siân Reese-Williams reprises her role as Caryl Huws, a butcher-shop worker turned trainee journalist.

The new series takes place in the fictional town of Llanemlyn, where a controversial plan to expand the reservoir reignites long-buried tensions. The story jumps back and forth between 1995, when activist Llyr Owen dies in a bombing, and 30 years later, when his cousin Rhys returns home to a community once again divided by protest.

As trainee journalist Caryl becomes drawn into the story, her investigation begins to unravel hidden truths, exposing secrets that have shaped the town for decades. This gripping drama of protest, guilt, and generational reckoning is set to keep viewers on the edge of their seats.

UMVA can exclusively reveal that The Light in the Hall: Still Waters airs on Channel 4 from Tuesday, June 16 at 9pm, with both Welsh and English language versions available. The first series is currently available to stream on Channel 4, giving viewers a chance to catch up on the story before the new episodes begin.
