Whether it’s a receipt, a registration form, or a treasured contract, the built‑in scanner hides in the Notes and Files apps, ready to capture and convert documents with surprising precision.
To begin, open the Notes app, create a fresh note, and tap the paperclip icon to select “Scan Documents.” Hold the iPhone steady over the paper until the edges glow, then let the auto‑capture fire or press the shutter manually for full control.
If the scan looks perfect, tap “Keep”; if not, choose “Retake.” Switching between Auto (the tiny “A” above the shutter) and Manual modes lets you dictate exactly when each page is captured, while the app automatically straightens uneven corners.
After scanning all pages, tap the checkmark in the upper right. Notes will even suggest a title by extracting the top line of text, streamlining organization.
