JEWISH COMMUNITY UNDER ATTACK: More Arrests Made in Ambulance Horror!

A wave of fear gripped London’s Jewish community as police announced three more arrests connected to the deliberate torching of vital emergency vehicles. The arson attack, targeting ambulances operated by a volunteer organization, has been swiftly condemned as a hate crime, sending shockwaves through the city.

The Metropolitan Police detained two British men, aged 19 and 20, alongside a 17-year-old with dual British-Pakistani citizenship. Each was apprehended at separate locations in east London, facing accusations of conspiring to commit arson with a reckless disregard for human life.

The targeted ambulances belonged to Hatzola, a dedicated group of volunteers providing crucial, free medical transport and emergency response services to north London residents. These weren’t just vehicles; they represented a lifeline for a community, now brutally disrupted.

A member of the Jewish community walks past the scene of an antisemitic arson attack in the Golders Green neighbourhood of north London.

The attack unfolded near a synagogue in Golders Green, a northwest London neighborhood with a significant Jewish population. Flames engulfed the ambulances on March 23rd, leaving a chilling message of hatred and vulnerability in their wake.

Fortunately, no one suffered physical injuries during the incident. However, the psychological impact is profound, prompting investigators to classify the act as a deeply disturbing antisemitic hate crime. The investigation, though not currently designated as terrorism, is being spearheaded by counter-terrorism officers.

A shadowy group, Harakat Ashab al-Yamin al-Islamiya – translating to The Islamic Movement of the People of the Right Hand – has stepped forward to claim responsibility. This little-known Islamist organization, suspected of ties to Iran, has also asserted involvement in similar attacks across Belgium and the Netherlands.

The emergence of HAYI adds a complex layer to the investigation, raising concerns about potential international coordination and the spread of extremist ideologies. Authorities are meticulously examining the group’s claims and exploring any connections to previous incidents.

Two men in their 40s, previously arrested in connection with the fire, have been released on bail while the investigation continues. The search for answers, and for those responsible for this act of malice, remains a top priority for London’s law enforcement.
