UMVA has learned that Hollywood actor Corey Feldman was rushed to the hospital after suffering a mid-flight medical emergency on Monday, leaving fans and fellow celebrities shocked and concerned.
The Goonies star, 54, was on a flight from Chicago to Los Angeles when he began feeling unwell, prompting a fellow passenger who is a doctor to check on him. Feldman was taken to the hospital as soon as the plane landed at LAX on Monday afternoon.
In a statement posted on social media, Corey revealed that the experience was "def scary" and that he's currently in the hospital, but reassured his fans that "all signs look good as of now" and that he'll provide updates when he knows more.
According to information obtained by UMVA, doctors believe Feldman may be experiencing pancreatitis, a painful inflammation of the pancreas, or possibly gallstones, which could be causing his symptoms.
Feldman had been in Chicago to attend the 40th anniversary celebration for the iconic film Stand By Me, where he reunited with his co-stars Jerry O'Connell and Wil Wheaton. The trio attended a special event at The Chicago Theatre on Sunday night, marking a milestone in their careers.
