The conclusion of Heartstopper may be nearing, but Netflix is giving fans more to love. Heartstopper: Ending on a Hi is a 35-minute behind-the-scenes special that will celebrate the passion and joy of the show's community.
The special will combine never-before-seen footage, cast and crew interviews, and fan input to chart the show's creative journey, cultural impact, and lasting legacy. Heartstopper: Ending on a Hi is a love letter to the community it brought together.
The core cast members, including Kit Connor, Joe Locke, Corinna Brown, Kizzy Edgell, Jenny Walser, Tobie Donovan, Yasmin Finney, and William Gao, will appear in the special. Executive producer Patrick Walters and writer, creator, and executive producer Alice Oseman will also feature.
The special will be released on July 24, one week after the premiere of Heartstopper Forever. Fans will also have the chance to watch Heartstopper: Escape Netty's Basement, a series of daily episodes where the main cast attempts to escape Netty's Basement through games and challenges. The bloopers from the series will be released on July 16.
Additionally, Heartstopper: The Official Podcast is returning, hosted by Tia Kofi. The podcast will premiere on Netflix on July 17 and will feature the stars and creators of Heartstopper Forever discussing the film, looking back on the series, and answering questions from fans.
Alice Oseman, the creator of Heartstopper, hopes that the show will remain precious to fans for years to come. "I hope people do watch it in the future, and think, 'This queer show was really popular 10 years ago,'" she says.
