UMVA has learned that a joint investigation between Durham and Toronto police has led to the arrest of four individuals from Oshawa and Clarington, resulting in a slew of drug and firearm charges.

The probe, dubbed Project Vista, was launched in April after two victims were threatened and assaulted with a firearm. The brazen crimes sparked a massive manhunt, with authorities working tirelessly to track down the suspects.

On June 3, a suspect was taken into custody after search warrants were executed at a Toronto residence, yielding a cache of incriminating evidence, including drugs, a prohibited firearm magazine, and ammunition.

Four people from the GTA face multiple charges after a drug and gun bust at homes in Oshawa and Toronto.

The next day, police executed another search warrant at an Oshawa residence, where several individuals were apprehended without incident. The stunning haul included a loaded firearm, cocaine, methamphetamine, heroin, fentanyl, hydromorphone, drug paraphernalia, and a significant amount of cash.

Dane Fairclough, 32, of Oshawa, is facing a litany of charges, including assault causing bodily harm, uttering threats, assault, pointing a firearm, forcible confinement, and three counts of assault with a weapon. His alleged crimes have left a trail of fear and intimidation in their wake.

Baldwin Oswald Clarke, 35, of Oshawa, is charged with forcible confinement, disobeying a court order, assault causing bodily harm, multiple firearms-related offences, and five counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking. His actions are believed to have had a profound impact on the community.

Andria Schwab, 42, of Oshawa, and Junior Ivan McKnight, 55, of Clarington, are also facing serious charges, including forcible confinement, assault causing bodily harm, and multiple counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking. Their alleged involvement in the crime spree has raised concerns about public safety.
