COYOTE TERROR: 4-Year-Old FIGHTS FOR HIS LIFE!

COYOTE TERROR: 4-Year-Old FIGHTS FOR HIS LIFE!

A four-year-old boy’s morning playtime turned into a terrifying ordeal when a coyote attacked him in his grandparents’ driveway in Southern California. The harrowing incident, captured on surveillance video, showed the animal biting and attempting to drag the young child away.

Solomon, the boy, bravely recounted the attack, stating simply, “He bit me. He tried to drag me.” His mother, Sarina Donohoo, described the heart-stopping moment she heard his screams and turned to see the coyote on top of him, a scene she called utterly terrifying.

The attack left Solomon with seven puncture wounds on his legs and torso. The swift actions of his mother prevented a more devastating outcome, but the ordeal left the family shaken and Solomon now requires a series of rabies treatments.

Wildlife officials believe this was not an isolated incident. DNA evidence linked the same coyote to a previous attack on a child near an elementary school in February, and two additional reported attacks occurred in late March.

Authorities identified the animal as a “repeat offender” and, following standard protocol for animals that attack humans, made the difficult decision to humanely euthanize it. The incident has understandably left the community deeply disturbed.

Solomon’s grandmother, Stephanie Fields, expressed the unimaginable fear of witnessing a wild animal attempt to snatch her grandchild, calling it “the most horrific thing in the world.” The family is now focused on Solomon’s recovery and processing the trauma.

The attack occurred early in the morning while Solomon’s mother was unloading groceries. She emphasized the sheer terror of the moment, driven by the instinct to protect her son from harm.

News of the attack has prompted increased vigilance among neighbors. One local daycare operator now carries an air horn and a golf club for protection, reflecting the heightened sense of unease in the area.

Wildlife authorities are urging residents to remain alert and take precautions, including supervising children closely outdoors, making loud noises to deter animals, and securing food waste. The community is grappling with the unsettling reality of wildlife encounters.

The incident serves as a stark reminder of the potential dangers posed by wild animals and the importance of taking preventative measures to ensure the safety of families and children.
